Ball Mountain Dam & Lake, Jamaica – open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Entrance is on Route 30 heading to Jamaica from Winhall. Panoramic views from the overlook area at the dam offer sightseers, photographers, picnickers, and hikers pleasing views of Stratton and Bromley Mountains. Camping, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, biking, wildlife viewing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling throughout the campground on almost 10 miles of trails.

 

Hamilton Falls Trails, Waterfalls, & Nature Area, Londonderry – Hiking, swimming, wildlife viewing. From Jamaica, travel a half mile east on Depot Street. After the park entrance, bear right to the large parking lot. Begin on Railroad Bed Trail; trailhead is in the northwest corner by the picnic area. Hike it 2.5 miles to Cobb Brook then another mile to the Hamilton Falls. OR from Windham, travel north a mile or so on Baker Hill Road turning left (west) onto Burbee Pond Road. Take this a very short distance making another left onto West Windham Road. Note: when the road forks, bear left. This will take you to the Hamilton Natural Area and the Hamilton Falls.
